Experience
I have been teaching music theory, musicianship, and class keyboard at the college level for a total of 9 years and continue to do so. I also have taught private piano lessons for about two years. I have come to notice that when undergraduate students with challenges visit me for extra help, a connection is built that is not often available in a classroom setting. They frequently benefit greatly from our meetings. I enjoy working with individuals as well as with classes. My position as an adjunct instructor allows me the flexibility to also teach privately.

Hobbies
I am a composer by profession, and an amateur pianist. I love to read and catch up on classics that I neglected when younger. I also have enjoyed some international travel, and find that being a composer can be a wonderful way to see the world. I am currently pursuing writing a grant for travel to Germany to hear the world premiere of my piano trio next June.
